I remember being a kid in “Sunday School” and not knowing where things were that took place in the Bible. It really wasn’t until High School that I figured out where Israel, Babylon, etc. were.

Fast forward to today where we’ve got things called “mashups” where someone can take data from two places and meld them together to form something else like BibleMap.org. BibleMap.org allows you to see where a specific Bible passage took place. Want to know where Ninevah, the place that Jonah didn’t want to go, was? Try BibleMap.org.

I looked up Daniel and found Babylon. It seems a pretty great resource for your personal study or for pastors everywhere. BTW, Ninevah was land-locked, so just going to sea at all meant heading away from where God wanted Jonah to be.
